What is Show Up & Shine?

Show Up & Shine is a 100% free initiative run by Ninja Valley for primary and intermediate schools (Years 1–8) across the Waikato and Canterbury regions.

We know that great attendance builds bright futures, so we’re giving entire classrooms a legendary goal to rally around.

Here’s the deal:

The Mission: Schools run a simple internal attendance challenge during Term 3.
The Prize: The single class with the highest attendance rate in each participating school wins a 100% FREE class trip to Ninja Valley (Hamilton or Christchurch) to kick off Term 4!
The Cost: Completely FREE for schools to join. We even send participating schools a free promotional kit to get students pumped up from day one!

Term 1 was insane - here's what happened!

When you turn daily attendance into a shared goal for the whole classroom, magic happens. In Term 1, over 80 schools joined the challenge, and the results blew us away!

Across all participating schools, regular attendance leaped by an average of 12.2%. Some of the individual turnarounds were nothing short of legendary:

🚀 Ngāruawāhia Primary School posted a phenomenal 57% surge in attendance!
🚀 TKKM o Tōku Māpihi Maurea saw an incredible 48% jump!
🚀 Tauwhare School shot up by 25%!
🚀 Canterbury Schools hit a massive 80.8% average attendance, smashing national targets years ahead of schedule!

Because these amazing kids showed up and supported each other, over 1,000 tamariki earned free, full-energy trips to jump, climb, and celebrate their hard work at Ninja Valley.
